River Paradise, Dangar Island

Check in/Check out

River Paradise is available from 3pm on the day of arrival and is to be vacated by 10am the day of departure.
Please ensure that you have booked your water taxi in advance on 0422 300 100 or know the Ferry schedule

River Paradise is a 12 min walk from the public wharf and parts are up hill. There is a trolley at the property that guests can collect to help get their belongings to the property if need be, please don’t leave it at the public wharf as it will be stolen. Dangar has a Golf Buggy (Island Taxi) manned by volunteers. If you require this service the contact number is 0438 925 363. Please note this is a cash only service.

NOTE: There is no direct water access to the property at this time. All arrivals and departures are via the public wharf.

On departure, please check all doors and windows are closed and locked. And all lights, fans and air conditioners are turned off. Please leave the property neat and tidy, and the Dishwasher is empty. Ensure Keys are returned to lock box.

Additional people MAY NOT stay at River Paradise other than the number stated on the booking form.

Smoking

Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside River Paradise. Please be mindful of your butts when smoking outside to avoid polluting the river. Dispose of butts appropriately.

Neighbouring Properties

Please do not use the neighbouring jetties for fishing from or for any other purpose.

Saftey

Please note there is a Fire Extinguisher and Fire Blanket are located outside the kitchen on the back patio.

There is a Fire Blanket located next to the BBQ.

Torches and Tea candles are located in the kitchen in case of a black out.

Toilets

Please DO NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet as our septic does not appreciate it. There is no plumber on Dangar Island so if you block the toilet, you may spoil your weekend!

Hot Water

We are in the process of upgrading the hot water system as it currently doesn’t allow the bath to be filled. Apologies! Please note the current system is very hot, please take care.

Mosquitos/insects

At certain times of the year, especially summer there are insects about. Suggestion: if you want to keep doors open in the evening, the secret is to have the outside lights brighter than the inside lights, as insects will tend to be attracted to the brightest light.

Mozzie coils can be found on the front veranda.

BBQ

The BBQ is there for your use. On check out please check gas is turned off and BBQ has been wiped down.

Children

Children must be supervised at all times, both inside and outside the house. Any damage caused to any item in the house must be paid for.

Rubbish

Don’t forget to take your rubbish out to the council bins provided and leave the property neat and tidy

Liabilities

River Paradise does not accept liability for injury, accidents, loss and additional expenses caused directly or indirectly by circumstances beyond our control. No responsibility is taken for personal items left on the premises during or after departure.

Being Water Wise

River Paradise relies on rainwater for its water supply. Please be conservative with this precious resource. Your co-operation with this is much appreciated.

Ways to conserve water:

• Take quick showers
• Only operate dishwasher when full, using 30min cycle
• Don’t leave taps running
